Here at FPC we pride ourselves on taking care of our members. Below you will find the different areas of care we offer. Please contact the church office if you have a question about any of the following…

Board of Deacons – The office of Deacon, as set forth in Scripture, is one of sympathy, witness, and service.  It is a ministry of compassion to all people.  

  • The Deacons’ Bereavement Committee provides food to the bereaved family following a funeral service.
  • Flower Delivery – the chancel flowers are delivered to parishioners following the conclusion of the worship  service.
  • Transportation – coordinates the travel needs of our parishioners who need help coming to worship or who need transportation to medical appointments.
  • Coffee Hours are hosted by the Deacons each Sunday following worship in Memorial Parlor

Prayer Chain is a volunteer group that circulate prayer concerns. Sharing Place Volunteers

Sharing Place is a volunteer program operated in conjunction with and volunteers who serve on a rotating schedule.  The meal is served in First Presbyterian Church’s Fellowship Hall between the hours of 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. every Thursday evening.  Exceptions include holidays that fall on Thursdays and six other local churches to provide a free meal to those who are lonely or in need.  The meal is prepared by a cook r semi-annual rummage sale which is held the first weekends in May and October.   Here are links to our volunteer schedules:   Host ChurchKitchen Helpers, First Presbyterian Church’s Schedule.

Hospital Visitation is accomplished by the minister or, in his absence, a member of the church staff or other volunteer.

Shut-In Visitation and Communion are accomplished by the minister and often an officer of the church on a regular and routine basis.
